Overview

The Finance Manager will support the Associate Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Redscout’s (Stagwell) and regulatory standards. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 7 years of relevant experience are preferred. Candidates based out of NY or Florida will be prioritized

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer bank transactions including entering wires, deposit cash, and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Perform accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
  • Review and approve employee expense reports adhering to Redscout’s policies and perks.
  • Perform accounts receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry, maintain monthly billing schedule, reconcile project spend reports, collections and cash application functions.
  • Maintain Monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations for Prepaid, Accruals, Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Balances and intercompany accounts as requested by Controller and Holding company
  • Assist Controller with monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures. Including management of Ancillary Reports, Revenue Database and bi-weekly cash flow reports for Holding Company
  • Assist Controller with monthly Budget management and allocations for each discipline. Routinely preparing Budget vs Actuals reports and flagging variances to Controller to ensure the proper monitoring of budgets.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Module by reconciling all assets and do proper disposals as assets come to end of useful life.
  • Support HR by managing and processing Redscout’s monthly benefits reconciliation including 401K plans.
  • Assist Controller with Bi-monthly Payroll Reconciliations
  • Prepare and Maintain Monthly 606 Revenue Templates.
    • Ensuring all documentation is prepared and approved by Client Service and Account Managers before Revenue recognition is posted in system.
    • Adhere to SOX compliance Requirements.
  • Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting with experience in preparing/reviewing financial statements, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations & bank reconciliations Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
  • Maconomy experience required
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think “Big Picture”
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain a team-oriented approach and possess the ability to cultivate positive and collegial workplace relationships
  • Superior attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing numerous deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a holding company/parent company structure a plus
  • Vendor and Client management experience a must
